Cell Adhesion
Cell motility requires the coordination of cell adhesion, membrane traffic, and actin organization at the leading edge of the cell. Similar mechanisms are involved in developing neurons during the migration of the growth cone and the establishment of synapses. Our major interest is on the identification and the analysis of molecular networks coordinating the protrusive activity at the cell edge of migrating cells on one side, and neuronal development and synaptogenesis on the other side.
